i'm running Live 5.2.2 on Mac OSX and my collaborator is running Live 6 on his PC. we want to share projects and cannot find a way to do so.
i heard that 5.2.2 could read Live6 projects... which should be the case no? if not surely ableton need to build in a 'legacy save' like adobe illustrator..

Live 5.2.2 > 6.0 project compatibility
Re: Live 5.2.2 > 6.0 project compatibility
It would be the other way around- that Live 6 can read Live 5 projects. I've yet to see any music software that can read a newer version's files.rikkitikki wrote:hi there'

Ableton also released a livepack (AL6) to improve compatibility with Live 5

http://www.ableton.com/_common/download ... bility.zip
Ableton posted a Live pack for people who might have problems to get some of Ableton’s content from Live 5 into the Live 6 library.
Dear All,
After upgrading the Library from Live 5 to Live 6,
some samples that came with the ‘Essentials’ Live Pack in Live 5 can be missing in Simpler or Impulse.
The compatibilty pack is available here.
After downloading, extract the Live Pack Live5Compatibility.alp
from the zip file and install it in Live 6. This should bring back the samples fromLive 5’s Essentials Pack.
Sorry for any inconvenience,
Best regards, Friedemann
