guitar rig 2 automation

When i open a Native Instruments Guitar Rig 2 instance in Live 5.2, i can only automate some of the knobs such as wah, phaser, delay,... parameters, but not. for example the parameters of CAT. When I unfold device parameters at the bottom of the screen, only some parameters show up. Does anybody know how to automate the other parameters?

Hi Talpa,

Don´t know much about guitar-rig, but in some plug-ins you can learn a parameter to a midi command. Mostly with control click (Mac) (PC - right click?) inside the GUI at the parameter you wish to control.

You can control almost everything in GR through MIDI controllers. As to why the others aren't showing up as VST automatable, I couldn't tell you- everything shows up in my hosts. Have you updated to the latest version (2.02)?

Hi palmer, when i try to see the automatable parameters, half of them dont show up in the GUI, and that is what annoys me.

Ewistrand, I upgraded to GR 2.02, but it still is the same, only some parameters can be controlled. Can u see the automations on an audio track after u record automations with your RK or any other MIDI controller? I dont have any of my MIDI controllers with me now, so Ill try them as soon as i get them back.

Truth is, Ive been to Native Instruments forums, and i realized that it probably is a bug in Guitar Rig, which lots of people complain about, and it happens in other sequencers too. If that is the case, its a shame for NI.

RK isn't a MIDI controller- it uses encoded audio on the unused half of the stereo track(the guitar signal's mono, and uses half of a stereo track) for automation. So yeah, you aren't going to see any MIDI automation...

To use RK, arm your audio track and record. Make sure overdub's enabled...
