Problems with BCR2000 editor
Problems with BCR2000 editor
I bought a BCR2000 and have some problems with the editor software now.
First the BCR was not recognised when I scanned for devices. Now I changed the
mode of the BCR to USB-3 (don´t know what it was before, USB-2 I think).
Now the software sees the BCR, but does not stop scanning...
Anyone had this problem and knows how to fix it ?

Hi, to use BC EDIT your BCR needs to be connected via USB and should have the global settings to U-1 (usb mode 1) (you should see a green led (USB Mode)).
Make sure that you have updated your USB drivers and firmware from behringer's web seit.
Also BC Edit works only with java 1.4 and below.

Ok, the BCR is connected via USB, the green light is on and the BCR works with all the host software I am using. USB driver version is 1.1.1.1 (newest) and the firmware is 1.10 (newest too). After changing the USB-mode to 1 the BCR is again not seen by the software, changed it to mode 3 again and...it´s not seen anymore...
Where can I see which version of java I have...?

it´s not very pretty, but it seems to work.
i found it here
http://www.mediamax.com/stutter/Hosted/bcfredit.exe
the page showing up in google very often seems to be down.
is 0.41 the newest version ?

It works really well infact, never understood why behringer insisted on java, which proved not so crossplatform at all, it's a simple utility after all, i bet it could be made in flash for that matter... bcfredit is a godsend, if only could be adapted to the nano bcn controller it would be awesome.

It's hard to finish things when you can't take "inspiration" from something else..Coupe70 wrote:funny what behringer support has to say (i contacted them for help):
they advised me NOT to use their editor as it is still beta.
that´s all.![]()
btw, i think it´s in beta for about 2 years now...
