Post by RichStudio » Fri May 25, 2007 1:24 pm

I have dual monitors and would love to view the sessiona and arranged at the same time.
Any way to do this?

honestly, given Live's focus on laptops and live performance, there are lots of other features which I believe are higher priority. This is more of a nice to have for me...

yep.. it isn't a real top priority issue for me either..

could be quite simple though;
if you could open multiple instances of the same set..

you can then rearrange every instance to your needs

anyway..

man this goes deeper than just thinking of splitting the views into two screens.

live could benefit from a well specced user configurable layout.

imagine seeing the waveforms of two channels stacked up,

or a screen made up of all your racks and effects... giving you a visual connection between exactly what you want.

on my laptop i would have liked a split where i see two channels of session view type tracks and the rest of the screen being the normal arrange view.. (to me that gives me a little sketchpad next to my arrangement).. so whos to say what is the best way to work on a laptop.

wait a minute!
yeaaah.. your words gave me a bright moment..

what if Live would have configuration scenes like with the Lemur?
so you have these different scenes to toggle through with key commands..

now that I would like very much..

would be better then just detachable elements..

I would love to have two (surreal :)) instances of instajungle viewable at the same

is this possible now with some kind of setting tweak? It's difficult to know which button is on or off sometimes when I have multiple instajungles running...

aside from that, I would love to have a modular interface. This has been discussed at great length- something must be done about it... at least as an option.
no prevailing genre of music:

Yeah, wait a minute indeed...these are excellent ideas! Geez, who was that stupid fucker suggesting multi-screen features should be on the bottom of the list? That dumb bastard! (although the way he said it suggests he must be very good looking and have a really large tool.)
