Can someone recommend a good looking/functional travel bag?

Post by mikew987 » Fri May 25, 2007 6:25 pm

Hi I'm at a computer store right now and I can't find a nice travel bag to hold my laptop, big headphones, firebox, cables... Any recommendations? Thanks.

You're still at the store? Try isle 5 or ask for Steve. He'll hook you up.

Jenny and Steve are both on break.

Have you ever noticed how they are always on break at the same time? I think they're having an in-store-affair. I'd give the supply closet an hour or so to, um, de-funk before going to look for scissors or paper.

sorry, you asked about bags!

I like to carry all of my music gear in this bag of awesomeness:

Then, I can listen to all of my amazing tunes while I walk around. No, it is not that narcissistic.

Here is a serious response. These guys make a vertiable plethora of excellent gear cases and bags:

Just copy and past, the little [url] boxes don't work on this one.

Edit. WTF? Nevermind, I guess you can click on it even though it doesn't have the url boxes.

You're in the wrong store, go to a luggage store, get a bag that doesn't look like you're carrying $5k worth of music gear. People are far less likely to steal your laundry than your gear. Or hit up a thrift shop, get something hip looking, buy some foam, cut the foam to the shape of your gear.

kinda pricy, but really durable. fits a 15" powerbook splendidly + room for a controller.

built like a TANK. i have been in a few bicycle spills while wearing this with a laptop inside. no issues whatsoever! pretty light too.
