If you're talking about loops, just drag them onto a track or into a cell.

If you're talking about hits/one-shots, it may depend on the instrument you're using; for Impulse or Simpler just drag them from the browser right into the instrument!

you can only use the beats that it comes with more are not allowed. its the one drawback.

plug in a microphone
put microphone to mouth
open mouth
use vocal cords and lungs to push air though your mouth

Have you checked to make sure it understands English, if it's a Spanish or German version of Ableton your using, then you will need an interpreter in order to get it to understand what you want. This may be of help to you
