stop / fade previous track when new track is started

Post by Fritz » Sat May 26, 2007 4:36 pm

kind of an extension of the Follow Action idea.
Say there's a clip on T1 and a clip on T2, a scene apart.
Play the T1 clip, then the T2 clip.
I'd like the T2 clip to initiate a user definable fade then stop for the T1 clip.
And a link clip list to relate the clips.

and a related idea. A Fade button per Track. Next to the Track Stop Button.
User definable fade time. It would fade out then stop clip and reset fader.

hi fritz,

yeah that sounds interesting, and useful. it would present a solution for the lacking automation capabilities of LIVE's session view. clearly there is a huge need for clip-based, object-assignable automation among the users of LIVE, judging from the posts on this forum lately. if you like, check out a thread i started on 'timeline independent automation clips'. i'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.

cheers,

donato

I'd be good with that. It certainly would be very useful in TV land.
