Phophenes (origin mix)
It started on the sps1-UW with a moody Hip-Hop beat... which was then obliterated into little acid metal bits. the SID provided the theme, added some trilogy... some space echo...
watch out for those breakdowns... they are
nasty

thanks for checking this out. After a week and halfway through another track I relistened to this and I think its the bears nuts. I suppose it is just me getting used to wonderful instruments like the machinedrum and SID which just sit in a mix effortlessly.
But really... check this out - the beat takes a minute to kick in but it is knockin... a real beast with a wicked slash+burn climax.
Its a 320kps mp3 hosted via ourmedia.org/archive.org and I used a creative commons license so you can pretty much grab this.
if you just want a quick peek, well it is also at myspace.com/badgerdub

Nicely made - keeps stopping and starting though due to the traffic on the web. Great sounds.

shoot...
i guess thats the price of offering the 320kps streaming mp3. one of the cool features of the archive.org/ourmedia is that it gives you multiple streaming choices. the one that plays automatically is the full size, but below the player window you can stream a lower bitrate mp3/ogg, or even just download the file.
thanks for the support

Pretty cool and original, and out of the Santa Cruz area no less! Whatup neighbor. Seriously, it's unique. Now are you going to get some surf rappers droppin' knowledge on it?

yo yo yo san jo-se
for live performance of the track there will definately be a section for the local burner/dreadie wordsmiths. I saw BLVD at Moes Alley last month and they had a pretty dope MC with them... I think it was Souleye.
thanks for checkin it. I just posted a new one
