I wont say more on this matter. Its useless
Shit man, come on. Put it out there. PM me if you don't want a public discussion. No malice or ill intent at all on my part I assure you.

Maybe you wont say any more because you dont have anything to say? Or maybe you miss my point entirely. Maybe my points are rendered null and void by default because I'm a white boy? Maybe you are a bit of a racist yourself?

I don't know, but I do know that this shit bothers me quite a bit (amongst many other things in todays world) and I am more than happy to discuss it, to be "schooled", to think, whatever man.

peace

merely taking adonis' hot potatoe, and putting it on a plate with some butter and a dash of pepper.

Besides, I want to see if there's something valid to his comments. First, the whiteman has been ripping off the black man since the dawn of music...then its in the last 100 years.

Regarding the dawn of music bit, I wont make any assumptions ? Dunno...fill me in on what the fuck he's talking about, please, anyone.

Regarding the last 100 years bit, well...this could yield something worthwhile, and I genuinely want to know who he's referring to
Here is one pile of feces

I don't believe that your intentions are benign b0unce. Sorry, but beside this declaration you aren't really interested in this topic. You already had an opinion and laid this thread out as a vehicle to express your opinion, by framing the issues in a way taht support your opinions. Like I said earlier, a solicitation for specific identification. Well, specific solicitation is hard to come by - but just it can't be produced doesn't negate the fact that the white race has exploited the blacj race for hundreds of years, and this includes stealing from black artists. Only recently in the US - 1960's - were blacks given legal rights that facially resembled those given to whites. And then there was Jim Crow racism. I would say that there are many instances of white artists stealing from blacks that we will never know about. BUt just because this country only decided to take whites to task for such actions in the last (I'll be generous) 40 years, doesn't mean it didn't happen.

As you requested - feces, excrement, SHIT!

I'll say it again, wow......ESPECIALLY as it seemed a few posts ago we were starting to get to the heart of the matter.......and less of trying to choke each other......

I'd like to offer this, as we should all be friends here.......it would be nice if these comments were not taken personally by anyone, since they surely are not.

Ever hear of a "crock-pot"? Ya know, one of those thingy's you throw all the stuff in and put the lid on AND LEAVE IT ALONE! Don't open it, stir it, shake it, rattle it, poke at it......just let it blend and simmer and cook to perfection.

thats not the point.
steve-o wrote: like I said, your points are valid - from a certain point of view. From the persepective a black person, they may be invalid, precisely because their history is full of white people exploiting their heritage - their bodies, their property, their identity, and their music. From their perspective, Timbaland may represent another example of emphasis on negative acts by blacks, while the negative acts of whites gets little emphasis and the positive acts by blacks get undermined. While the act may not be justified - it may be wrong, illegal, etc - it certinaly seems minor in their overall context. As someone who is not black - I think - you cannot appreciate this context. As a result, your view, is merely the view from the outside.
you know fuck-all about irish history, obviously. fuck all. the colour of my skin is irrelevant. oppression is oppression. I know it very well steve

The premise of the thread is pure rhetoric. You asked people to call shame on whitey. Your agenda was declared up front, there is no real purpose to this thread other than for you to give Adonis shit from some other thread. All we need now are more threads to stem from this one and...

Allright, I'm with Jah after this one.

Your opinion: that it was weak of Adonis to play the race card, that his remarks were racist, that blacks claiming that hip hop was stolen is narrow minded.

I'm out for the moment, but I'm sure I'll see y'all later. Peace. :)

no, i wanted to out these people so I could say fuck them just as much timbaland. You know NOTHING about me man, so dont assume where I was coming from. I found adonis statement offensive, he had to make it twice infact....so I called him on it, for a frank & open discussion.

I'm looking to be learned, and there hasnt been much of that going on....other than black folks started a genre. I was really hoping for more than that. little richard is the most relevant thing to the timbaland discussion so far.

fuck off tone deft.
