I read this today on Appleinsider while I was going to buy one...
http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/07 ... _mini.html
Do you think it can happen or they are only speculating?

They've got to be dead. Look how long since they've updated them, and they STILL have a core duo chip, not core 2. I think we can kiss them goodbye.

I hope they kill the current ones off and bring out a Mac Mini 2. Something that is on the level of the current iMac's and Macbooks.

I don't really believe it.
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

the mini makes a lot of sense for Apple. it costs nothing to manufacture and it provides them with a way to unload old chip stock. it will probably always be a generation or two behind on CPU but i don't think they would abandon it altogether. all the big PC companies have a similar low end model to unload the old chips as well. they have to get rid of them somehow. i love my mini. it replaced my dual g5!

I would have to agree about the "unloading or old chip stock" theory. The Mini is the easiest to upgrade to C2D but yet it hasn't reach it yet. Apple is either redesigning the case or waiting out the CD stock or both.
I would also imagine that they are going to redesign the logic board to have the chip soldered on.
What is that? A .38?
38, 39, whatever it takes.

i hope they dont discontinue, and instead they update to 64bit chips.
macmini = super awesome renderfarm.. 12 of them fill in the space on a rack
very nicely. and you can just buy more and add them on.

No Titbag. Windows is shit. Really shit, ugly, bloated, buggy, and viral.
People with macs can run windows if we want, and most of us still dont bother.

So what are you saying then? All computers are shit? Apple makes shit hardware?
Just admit it, you dont like macs because you dont like people who own macs, and have never even tried osx. Admit you are an inferior degenerate piece of poo.
