Automatic switch of scenes

Post by dzoge » Fri Jun 01, 2007 8:24 am

Hello,

I have a question, that might be very RTFM, but I just could not find the solution anywhere so I decided to post in forum.

Live 6 (6.0.1)

I have several scenes in a session view. I would like to make it so that after a certain number of bars (let's say after 8 bars) the scene will automatically switch to the next one without my interfearance. Is it possible?

If it is the nexe step will be to set different times to different scenes.

Thank you.

Yes. I have some generative sets functionning like that. I use for that midi clips outputing MIDI on a virtual MIDI port, set as remote control (midiyoke , I am on PC). Say you want the scene 2 to be launched after 16 bars. Put a 16 bars midi clip with, let's say, the C3 note in the last bar. Set global quantize to 1 bar. Map C3 to launch the scene 2. That's done.

I was thinking. If you don't want to use any random functions and if the scenes have the same bpm, you can just set "follow action" to every clip.
