Stewart needs a sense of humor, it sounds like.
You can't be a performer in the public eye and be afraid of looking stupid once and a while. At their level they should know how to turn these things into a positive, or a good laugh at least.
I think this reunion tour has been such an expectation for him that he's set his perfectionist sights a tad too high.
That said, infighting and bitchiness has been longtime Police tradition. Why change something when it works? On with the show!

I think Stewart is practising black humour with this article.
Otherwise, he is very honest to the point of perfectionism which I kind of admire. Refreshing. Who wants to read some self-mastubatory 'yup, we've still got it, we rock, best concert ever' baloney as usually spouted by the press, agents and the many retarded musicians who actually believe their own hype. I love it when stars admit they're crap !!!
Oh and some tickets were not 300 dollars for Vancouver, quite a few were in actual fact 65 dollars and when they added 2 more dates there, they didn't sell out the last concert and the touts were crying 'poor' and 'foul' because they actually lost out in some cases and had to sell below face value.

Exactly. Stewart (and Andy and Sting, too, for that matter) is distincive and mature enough nowadays to have a differenciated evaluation of ability and success.leedsquietman wrote:I think Stewart is practising black humour with this article.
