Does anyone use the Saffire LE black with Live? I need a combo audio interface/midi/soundcard and pre-amp and I've been told the Saffire handles it pretty well. I will be recording guitar tracks and have a small keyboard I'll use to trigger midi instruments. Specs (from the Live site) are like this:
Ultra-low-latency FireWire interface
24-bit, 96kHz recording
Six inputs; two Focusrite preamps, two balanced Line I/Ps and stereo S/PDIF I/Ps
Eight outputs; Six balanced analog outputs for creating separate headphones/monitor mixes or 5.1 surround monitoring, plus stereo S/PDIF Out
MIDI In and Out
Suite of Saffire plug-ins, including VST/AU compression, EQ, amp modeling and reverb
SaffireControl LE for comprehensive level and monitoring control
Power via FireWire or included power supply
Any input much appreciated, as always!

(i'm sure it's fine.. i have a regular Saffire, two Fireboxes and a Firepod
and they all work well, and multichanel, with Live 6)

I got the Saffire LE some time ago.. It's really good.. Didn't have enough time to check all of its functions, but I have no problem at all with the interface..

All of Focusrite's products are amazing, you can't go wrong. I have a regular Saffire and love, best interface yet.

i agree. i have a regular saffire and it has been great to me. Its a great investment because you can eventually hook up those 10 (8) outs to a nice mixing board of your liking for some analog summing action
