Calling all SaffireLE owners --regards a particular problem

Post by The Thief » Sat Jun 09, 2007 5:40 pm

I own a SaffireLE which is connected thru firewire (duh) to my macbook, i also daisy chain an ext HD off it too.

Since I purchased Live the thing has been turning off on me during a set. What happens is i'll happily be making music hit stop then hit play and i get nothing.

At this point in time I pretty much cant hear sound from the saffire and is not just in Live. Obviously the way to remedy the problem is to unplug and plugin

now i've obviously contacted saffire support but would just like to know if any have experienced this kind of problem before? if so do u know why this is and how one can fix

thanks in advance :)

You mean that sometimes you press stop in ableton and when you press play again there is no sound at all? This happens to me every now and then.. But if I close and re-open Ableton the problem's gone..

What did the Saffire support told you? Any possible solution to this?

Yeah - I've had the same problem.. Usually only happens on boot up though... I unplug it and replug it in, and it works fine... but it does worry me a little as I've only had a mac for a few weeks and am nervous it'll happen live.......
