Hi,
I am trying to do something that seems simple, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it in Live...
I want to use Live 6 for improvised loop composing/recording during live performances. My problem is that whenever I record a new loop, it doesn't quantize the loop to the nearest beat 1 of the measure. For example, after I record a two measure pattern, the actual live loop in the Session view ends up two measures and one and a half beats. How can I get loops that I record to automatically quantize to the nearest measure, even if I technically hit "stop record" at, for example, the second eighth note after beat 2?
Also...
How do I quantize MIDI input in loop recording in Live? I'd like, for example, to be able to play a bass line into the loop and have Live automatically quantize it to eighths or sixteenths.
Thank you,
Cory Cullinan

Longjohns,
Thanks for the reply.
On recording quantization -- thank you, that works!
On global quantize -- yes, I tried that setting on the transport, it doesn't seem to do anything. I have set it to 1 bar, 2 bars -- it doesn't seem to matter. Whenever I stop recording a clip, that's exactly how long the clip is. It's frustrating -- there must be something I'm missing. Maybe it's this: What am I supposed to press to stop recording?
Thanks,
