Hi,

the only thing you need to enable in the MIDI Preferences is the 'sync' button, and only in the input section, if you want Live to be the slave. So, disable all the other options, and select nothing in the ports part of the Control surface section.

Then off course, you need a Master clock device to send sync to Live, via the Audiophile USB MIDI port..

but in the master device that it is another pc, with also ableton live i will do the same settings???
is it ok a very low latency on latency options from the soundcard??

ps: the sounds card of this pc are the m-audio audiophile usb. the 2 pc have the same soundcard.

thank you so much for your disponibility

Hi,

No, for the Master computer, you should enable 'remote' for the output port, that you use to send the sync. And the EXT button has to be enabled only on the slave, not on the Master.

nearly there, all you need to remember is this...

master clock machine: midi device out - sync enabled (sends midi clock)
slave to clock machine: midi device in - sync enabled (receives midi clock)

now the final step is to enable the external midi clock next to the metronome on the main live set window (not preferences), top left. you only need to do this for the slave machine. it should now wait until it receives the clock messages to trigger the live transport.

probably i've find the problem.. so i've set the lateny of the sound card to very low, and i've let down the driver error compensation to -5.00 ms... so the overall latency go down...
than there are another problem... infact now there is a skidding of the track when i press the button of play from the other track from the other live... Why happened it???

maybe the latency is too low... and i dont think youu need to use the drive compensation error to adjust the midi clock sync - i would do that within the midi out sync delay compensation.

wrong place, that's the track delay which is part of the PDC (plugin delay compensation).

It's in the prefs, under Midi Sync. Make sure you open the triangle to see the sync options, what you want to adjust is the midi clock sync delay.

++ without wanting to be patronising - this is all in the manual, chapter 24...

i've tried it but it's to difficult to setting it qhen i play.. beacuse i must change every track.. for example i track 4 the erro is -10 ms, in the 10 track is +35ms.. and it is not perfetc sync..
