Hello,
I've had Ableton for almost a year now and have not used it at all. I purchased it at the same time with a Macbook 2G Intel and have not had any success utilizing this setup. I record with Protools and Reason mainly with outboard instruments with no problem. Yet when I try to use Ableton, it glitches, freezes and the processing meter is well over 100%. I've pretty much have forgotten about it and have been using what works for me.
It's just bothering me now that I've spent alot of money for this setup and have seen other people using Ableton with far less processing power than me, with little to no problems at all. I'm pretty sure its user error...I just want to get things running and get my DAMN MONEY's WORTH! I know Ableton is obviously a great program...I just have yet to realize it myself.
Can anyone enlighten me?
Thanks,
SS

I'd be simpler to get the upgrade. Because if you switch to windows to use Live, you'll need to switch to windows for most music stuff you do.ar4901 wrote:What about if you run you intel macbook pro with a windows operating system? I currently tried to run v5.0.3 on my mac and experienced the same trouble as described above?? If i switched to windows would this resolve it? Or would it be simpler to simply get the upgrade??
An intel mac is unable to run any version under Live 5.2 in osx.
