These guys really know their stuff...EH ROCKS!
Not to disrespect, I love EH, but, as far as recording gear goes, I would steer clear of their preamps:

But again, I LOVE EH! Their gear is supposed to be quirky. When the quirk is 60Hz hum in a preamp... nahh.
p.s. my log-in at Tape Op is hiddendriveways

Are their delay pedals good? I need one.
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

i like all their pedals. my only issue -- most don't have recall for presets (HOG has 6, which helps), so they're difficult to use live unless you want to fiddle with settings on stage. wish i could find similar sound quality to, e.g., their guitar or bass synths, but with recall.

ok, i picked up the HOG last nite, it's awesome. actually just what i was looking for for playing live (i could use GR II or somesuch for more flexibility and presets, but i like to avoid mousing when playing live). but this raises a question -- anyone know how different the guitar micro synth is in terms of sounds you can get out of it? trying to figure out if i need that as well. thx.

+1
my buddy (bass player) has one and i've been using it, running my moog rogue and my v-drums through it. sooo fun. can be finnicky with sources other than string bass, but when you get it dialed in, it's nasty!

not to be the wet blanket, or to say that I don't respect EH's style or their sounds a whole lot, but has anyone figured out a way to keep these things from rusting? I lived in Florida while owning a Q-Tron and man that thing got brownfugly.
I noticed they recently started making did-cast metal mini pedals..couldn't help but think the die-cast was a reaction to this...

I have a Qtron and a Bass microsynth for about ten years.
have used them in most different occasions, form drums to keyboards, and, of course, my bass.
Can't recommend enough. those brilliant boxes have made my sounds for almost a decade.
good luck,
coelho

Does anybody know how well the bass microsynth triggers, some pedals like this can be a bit slow if you are playing fast passages or something.

I have ordered one a few days ago. Waiting for it to arrive tomorrow, and I am VERY excited to play it.

Vintage Small Stone phaser = lush. Memory Man = fat, watery delay. Love their stuff. I'll have to check out that HOG. I definitely need a vintage Big Muff for my pedal board. I've neglected my pedals for a while since using Amplitube and GR2 in Live, but nothing beats sick analog pedals. I know how I'm spending my 4th of July: with a Neumann in front of my amp rocking out with my 9 volt army

Virus TI Polar
Live 8, Operator, Sampler
Reaktor 5, Massive, FM8, Sound Toys Bundle
Pro Tools 7.4
Mac G5 Dual 2.5 GHz
Macbook Pro 15-in. 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
