...also just remembered...I think Simon Posford owns some original piece of Floyd synth gear...bought it a few years back...I'll see if I can find that....

You guys should checkout a band called Porcupine Tree. That first clip really sounds like Porcupine Tree.

I'm trying really hard to give them the benefit of the doubt. Their first album was tight, but I start to get nervous when 7 or 8 people are on stage and half of them seem to have almost nothing to do. Plus, a sprawling lineup will reduce the viability of playing live outside of the the UK. But it is Simon P, who has actually been defining Psychedelic Trance and Downtempo for almost 15 years now.

I'll finally be seeing Hallucinogen live/Shpongle DJ this weekend in LA. I've never been in the right place at the right time until now.

what era of Pink Floyd are you hearing?

most bands people tout as "the new..." are really "The new shit" and like not in a good way.

don't take it too literally...it only means great music in the 70's psychedelic spirit, the same way that bands like phish and the disco biscuits carry on the tradition of the dead.

Hallucinogen played here a couple weeks ago and was absolutely amazing to see. I lent the promoter my Nord Lead 2 for the show and got Simon to autograph it afterwards!!!
