Can I open audio files in ableton that I ripped from disc?

Post by jay2k6ie » Mon Jun 18, 2007 11:21 pm

Hi,

New to ableton...Is it possible to open audio tracks which I have uploaded to my laptop from disc?

When I go to the artist name in abletons browser and open the file there is no track inside? Is this a copyright safety function or am I not opening correctly?

Cheers

Jason

Sure, if it's a .wav or .aiff, or in full versions of live 5 or 6... mp3. I think AAC too but I'm not sure. Definitely not copy protected AAC.

.flac too I think

None of the compressed file types if you have a Lite version

http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/

use this to make a "audio"-file from cd to a "wav" or "mp3" !!
Then you can open it in Live with the browser !
