Does any one know how I can set up my MPC 500 so it can trigger sounds out of Battery2 ?
I'm sure someone must be doing this. Live I understand, I'm new to MPCs though so am just getting used to the way they work.
Any help Appreciated.

Just route the midi in from the MPC to the track that Battery is on, I assume Battery is GM compliant so it should map its drum slots to the pads in a sensible way.

setup a midi program for your mpc, which spans the notes from 35(b0) up to 98(d6) across the pads. I've got a mpc 1000 and i had to do this, cause the note layout was in chaotic order. You can see the midi notes and their coresponding pad in the program--->note menu of your mpc. I dont know if
bluebox works for the 500, but this would ease the layout process.
after that you can put live'S midi pitch plugin right before battery to adjust the midi scale. this should work well..........

Blue box does work with the MPC500.
Will get on it when I get back from work tonight.
