Does anyone know of any other forums with threads like this so that I can spend hours coveting other peoples studios instead of doing real work?

YOU HAVE?! 8O KOOL!

I have no idea what they are, other than I got them off a very old man about a year ago, who agreed to give me them in return for doing his garden!
They are huge and sound fantastic. Not ideal for monitoring, but great for listening. They go so loud. The man said his son built them, maybe there was some sort of kit like this in the 80s?

Do you have any idea what kinda of wattage they are at? I have them hooked up to an old 250 watt amp, and they go loud enough to shake the room at 5.

Are they definatly the same as yours?
The cabinet is covered in white leather, and behind the cardboard overlay, they are made from chipboard.

You just reminded me, I still have to get around to doing that guys garden!

there not exactly the same now, but i sended my dad the picture and he thinks they where like that when he bough them, and afterwards he painted them black. all the speakers (placement etc) are identical... i think it are whaferdale's...
I don't use them anymore, as they are broke now, but i remenber they were about 150W each i guess. don't know for shure. i might make the trip to the dusty basement in my parents house to check...
