They are two different animals. EZD is a nice "kit" that sounds good. EZD has no "brain" and simply plays the midi loops that come with it or you supply. As such for "jamming" it is very predictable and might be uninspiring.

Jamstix is a "player" with a nominal "kit". It is going to produce unique live feeling rythms if you tune it correctly, due to it's inbuilt "brain". You can even use it to liven up EZD. (Which is what I do except I use DFHS instead of EZD putting Jamstix in the driver's seat).

Hmmm for songwriting wouldn't you want full control and therefore the 'brain' is not required?

Jamstix is much more inspiring than EZD, no doubt about it.

And Jamstix 2, only a few weeks away, will be even better.

I also subhost AD and sometimes DFHS in Jamstix, but soundwise it can stand on its own, too.

Jamstix running DFH...the best of both worlds. Cool

I cant wait 4 Jamstix 2.0 as well. Their bass app looks interesting as well.

THANKS Kats!
