Hey guys,
We are experiencing dropouts on a newly installed Fireface 800:
especially when recording 6 audio inputs at the same time for more than 5 minutes.
Any ideas? We really appreciate your help. Cheers

Coldcut : Need help with Fireface 800 dropouts
Hey,
thanks for your reply and sorry about the delay
here are the specs
Live 6.7+ RME fireface 800 used on a Dell laptop with:
Processor intel core duo t2600
RAM: 2GO
HD: 120GO
+ winxp pro service pack2
while recording 4 or 5 audio tracks at the same time, weird dropouts happen after 5 minutes.
We actually wonder wether there might be a conflict with the motherboard, owether it could be RAM related. (Do you think the tracks are recording using the RAM until you press stop and save it?)
We also tried recording on an external Hard disk (USB2), same problem.
We are not sur a firewire HD would make any difference.
appreciate your help,
Mathieu for Matt Black
