This movie is gonna be frickin "amazing"
The Transformers Movie.

Yeah, I hope they don't screw it up though. Take the Tom Cruise War Of The Worlds movie, how the f-ing hell could they do a remake that had absolutely nothing to do with the original?? Even then, how could they rape a classic screenplay and get away with it??

Lots of stars in Runaway, I forgot Kirstie Allie was in that. Chances Gene Simmons caught some skinny Kirstie booty are pretty good.
yeah, they didn't hold true to "war of the worlds" at all. I gave that a 6 though.

I've seen the Transformer trailers in theaters and it looks like they did it right. Looks real aggressive. Wow.

Anyone remember a 50's one about these vampire bat -ike things from another planet? Maybe it was Venus?

I actually kinda liked war of the worlds. the only problem with it is that most of the movie was spent hiding and doing nothing :)

yeah Tone??? - I dug war of the worlds - I was on a LONG flight at night though and it scared the fook out of me

I am really looking forward to transformers but really hoping it isnt too much to take my 5 YO to - like f%$n spider man - how the hell can they make "kids" movies and even sell happy meals with the toys but make them too violent for kids to watch???

That sort of thing gets really farkin annyoing whan you have a boy and really want to take him to see these movies but dont want him coming in with nightmares everynight

I mean he has loads of transformers and so it's like the perfect movie to take a 5YO boy to but I bet they rate it 15+

I know... I was working with a guy from BBFC a number of years back and we started talking about Spiderman 1 - I said "it was a definite 15 and whoever rated it 12 was out of their mind". He said "it was me and I'm so tired of hearing this". I said "are you out of your mind?"

I had a similar experience with the film "Poltergeist", that one had me scared sh*tless for months when I was about eight.

he he - I think I was 10 when I saw poltergeist - still scary but by 10 you're pretty right with things like that

man I've just watched all the trailers for transformers and I think I'm gonna have to just risk it - It looks totally awesome and he'd never forgive me if I went without him!

on the website it says PG 13+ - PG in australia is usually cool so hopefully it's the same

god knows some of the X-box games he's played are pretty full on

it's hard to know with a 5 year old because all of his play with Lego etc involves guns and explosions and violence so I kind of think it's just normal for boys, but some little "responsible adult" part of my brain is niggling away at the back

Its a bizzare old world today aint it - kids playing with transformers, star wars, turtles and lego (only much meaner/cooler toys) ... i wonder if my grandkids will be fed the same stuff.

I was about 8 when my mom took me to see Friday the 13th at a drive-in theatre...shit...I feared an arrow busting through my neck every night for years...but i'm ok now...no nervous ticks or anything...
