and just just recieved my stands.

holy crap.
and these are not super special monitors..hs50m

i am a headphones man...but hooly shit. i have been denying myself something great.

EDIT:i have been using them one my desk for a while...i was just waiting for my stands...

You like the new Yamahas? Did you ever use NS10s?

I'm a long time stand fan. I remember when I got my first pair of lead filled targets and blue-tacked a set of speakers to them.

Blu-Tack, the sticky stuff people use for putting photographs on the wall? Do you use it eliminate vibration? Or to decouple the speaker from the surface? Or both? Or neither?

I'm thinking about getting stands for my 20/20BAS. I want to get a pair of NS10s so I can A/B stuff, and there's no room on the desk for both sets of monitors...

Do tell more!

these are my first monitors, so i can only say that with them about 7 feet apart i have what i consider a great sense of space. i am listening to Miseducation of lauryn hill right now and i hear nothing wrong in my bad bad room.

i get enough bass for my taste from these.

i kept hearing that hte ns10 were unflattering and that these are the same. i translated this as "sorta flat" and i think i am right. i cant hear any boosts ... which is what i like.

ok..so i put some drum and bass on...the bass is not so present (i listen at low levels. very low.) i hear it..but there is not a lot behind it. i will try for a more eloquent review later if you want. i am still on honeymoon.
