Having the mac is not enough to go for what you're afterlesterdiamond wrote:I'm gonna keep my pc, and get a mac![]()
I'm only gonna use the mac to look cool while I drink my latte at starbucks, talking on my iphone about how much I like macs better than pcs
I'm gonna use both, they both have their advantages, I say that now but something tells me once i get a mac the pc will be collecting dust, most of the time
you need
1) Thick black rimmed glasses (spectacles)
2) a beard
3) balding
4) a Jetta or Golf with a white apple sticker in the rear view
and a...
5) Asian girlfriend named Beth or Rae
You'll ball super hard at the local coffee shops surfing craigslist or posting on your favorite internet forums - postng about how 'rad' your new MacPro is...
a thread like this was run about a year ago and the results were almost exactly 50/50 . (sorry I can't be bothered trying to search with keywords 'mac AND pc' )
So, it's pretty interesting to see the change from 50/50 in 2006 into what appears to be 66.6/33.3 in 2007
Seems that switch to Intel is paying off well in this market. Bearing in mind that Live used to run like a dying dog on a PPC I'm suprised they even had a 50% share back then!
I would get a mac lappie, but there's still plenty of life in my current PC laptop yet. Because quite a few of my fave apps are still PC only. I'll give it a year, who knows perhaps they will manage OSX versions by the time I retire this PC.
I am bald with a goatee, I work as a webdesigner, I own a pair of sandals, I am moving to brighton, I am a vegetarian. Pretty amazing I held out this long really.

Angstrom - LOL Knowing is half the battle.
If you use a Mac and someone gave you a PC and you couldn't make music you're probably too retarded to use a computer in the first place.
If you feel that you need to tell the internet how great your computer is, use your computer to find a dating service then sell it immediately.
If you're still reading this get a fucking life.
Most of the problems people have that makes them not like PC or Mac have to do with the user. I'm sure many people here have seen parents do stupid ass shit with a computer. I ROFLMAO watching my mom try to find the "sony.com weibsite" she literally couldn't. I'm just glad the milkman had good genes.Airwave wrote:mac, but honestly, if windows xp was something stable, SAFE, and reliable for my purposes (yesterday I was struggling at my dad's pc to get it to work properly), I'd go for it.

uhhhhm, no one in their right mind who has used both windows and osx is going to tell you that windows is more user friendly.
You're right tone deft, the problems *are* likely to be the user, but it's windows fault that it's so easy to make mistakes, and that there is so much more you have to know to be properly set up.

2) No beard
3) Not balding
4) If it's not a van, SUV or truck, I'm not driving it. No stickers, last I recall Apple hasn't paid me any advertising fees.
5) Never hooked up with an asian girl, or a girl named Beth or Rae.
Dated an american indian girl who was a mexican gang member.
OK you got me, I've surfed craigslist in a coffee shop, and bragged here about snagging a fully loaded macbook pro off some windows geek who didn't know you could install XP on it.
Still, ASSumptions are just that you know?
