audio clip starting point

Post by marvinyl » Tue Jun 19, 2007 12:22 pm

Hi,

does anybody know if it's possible to set the starting point of audio clips to a minus-value?
after selecting a scene in session view i want some of my clips to be started with some offset (let's say 1.1.1. within the audio clip should be 9.1.1 within the scene).

any ideas?

If you want to have blank space at the beggining of the clips, drag them to arrangement view and select them along with 8 bars of silence before, and then 'consolidate'

You can also do this by triggering a second scene after 8 bars, with copies of the other clips which were already playing, and set to legato mode

if you care about disk space, why not have an 'unlinked' volume envelope on the clip of 8 measures?
