OT - Little T has passed to the other side, and I need a cry

Natasja - Little T - queen of danish dancehall died in a carcrash in Jamaica yesterday, 32 years old!

This is so tragic - I have to share!

She's been working hard in the music bizz since she was 13, and now she was just about to have her BIG international breakthrough.

She won (as the only non-jamaican ever) a big Jamaican talent contest earlier this year, and was working with artists such as Sean Paul for her forthcoming english lyric album. She had a couple of big radio hits in denmark, shes currently number 6 on the french singles chart, and she is slowly surfacing in all of Europe and America, and maybe most important for Natasja - she was becoming a star in her beloved Jamaica.

Natasja never forgot her underground roots - she has been a strong constant in our fight for free spaces like Christiania(freetown since '71) and ungdomshuset (The Youthhouse - evicted and demolished after 25 years as a cultural powerhouse in underground Europe)

The void will never be filled

Natasja we love you

-Øv det er jeg ked af at høre, hun var alletiders, Danmarks bedste toaster.
Kendte hende tilbage fra fælleskøkkenet og no name requested i sin tid..

RIP

Never heard of her, but that's sad. R.I.P.

I hate all the fake plastic wannabees in this biz.

Which is why I loved Natasja - Straight forward,
down to earth and true. What a loss, for those
who knew her music, and for those just about to.

I was never too much into dancehall and such - but
she was something else. A voice and groove that
really captures you.
