Yup. Making arpeggio-synth-lines in two seconds is a lot of fun. I'd love this. :)

I have read the manual, and I haven´t found a single word about step recording midi. I don´t think we are talking about the same thing in that case. What I mean is:

Set resolution, say 16th notes. Set cursor to desired start position in a midi clip. for each note played from the midi keyboard (during sequencer stop that is), insert one 16:th note with the played pitch and velocity, and move cursor one 16th...

But well, if you know how to do it, please enlighten us...

There is no step sequence facility in Live, I've said that I miss this option (used it in Logic) a few times here. I even sent an email direct to Ableton about it.

I would imagine its one of those many, many to-do things that they are constantly striving to accomplish. In many respects I think Live is better than many other sequencers (I hate cubase and protools :roll: ) but has been perhaps a little behind in terms of midi application.
