freezing screen during high midi activity (live 6)?

while i'm using padkontrol's touchpad in live 6 (latest) the screen freezes and after using the the touchpad everything is normal.
the cpu usage is less than 10% and i use only audio clips.
does live stop updating the screen during high midi traffic?
