Simple MIDI functions maxing out my processor

I'm running Live 5.0 on a new 2.2 GHz Macbook Pro. I'm running simpler using the qwerty keyboard as my midi input and it is maxing out my processor completely. Like up to 230% when i hit just 3 notes on the "sequence me" preset. Impulse goes up to 100% just tooling around without any other tracks playing. It's impossible to do anything at all. Any ideas?

Run Live 5.2.2.

You're running a version of Live that is not compatible with your computer.
