Wanted feature for forum...

Post by bgone » Sun Jul 01, 2007 4:07 am

BOOKMARKS!

I hate how I can find some thread that provides me with lots of useful information, only to later not be able to find it again...I know you can flag a thread to notify you of new replies, and thank god for stickies, but shouldn't there just be a way to save a thread for future reference? I spend so much time reading these posts while at work (don't tell my boss) but I often can't really utilize that info till I get home and have Live loaded up...and then wouldn't you know it, I cant find the damn thread again...

I heard they are gonna put that on the forum right after they start moderating next year.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

easiet way is to make a post on the thread, then when you want to find it just to a search for your name in the author box in search.

Just curious, but...

The thread ID's never seem to change. Why not use your browsers bookmark feature? I dont' see why you'd need it in the forum system itself.

...actually, yeah I could just hover over the link to the post I want to look at...and then copy the link shortcut...then past it into my bookmarks or something like that...but that's kinda time consuming and well...kinda sucks...I just wish we had something that allowed one to save a specific post or thread...it would just save time, that's all...

That's if you're in frames mode. Otherwise bookmarking through the browser works dandy. Make this your forum bookmark: http://www.ableton.com/forum/index.php
