not sure if this has already been posted - sorry if it has!
Was thinking last night - wouldn't it be cool to have a bunch of modulators (LFO, Envelope, Step Seq?) available as MIDI plugins, that could be hooked up via MIDI to any automatable parameter in any plugin...
... you could for example have three instances of your favourite synth on different tracks, all loaded with different patches, but you could control the filter cutoff of all three with the same modulator...
This would add a new modular dimension to Live... is this something we can expect from the Ableton/Cycling74 collaboration?

ok - I'd really love to be able to do this. Perhaps a few raw oscillators too? It would make Live into more of a modular synth environment which would make it the BEST computer music project on the market IMHO.

why stop there, go the whole hog, make live completely modular.
So I can buy the modules that help me with Live use, and leavy out all that arrangement malarky altogether.
Then you can pick and choose exactly the spec that'll best suit your computer setup.

A few releases away, I think!
Yeah - speaking as a Reaktor head, the more modular the better... Its important not to over-complicate things with Live though - one of its main selling points is its ease of use...
