G4 powerbook - cpu load maxing out...

my cpu load is just maxing out at 100% very very easilly
it's a g4 powerBook and I just got the program, does anybody have a clue what I should do?

667Mhz processor and 1g of RAM
on OSX 10.4.9

Make sure you the prosesor is set to the highest.
You can find this under system preferences -energy saver.Set the prosesor to the highest.
