Applying effects separately to each Impulse instruments

Post by ennayeh » Tue Jul 10, 2007 3:09 pm

Hy,

I have been using Live 6 for a short time, so this question may be a bit stupid, but how is it possible to apply effects separately to each song of an Impulse set of drums?
In fact, when I load an impulse preset, I can only apply effects to all drum songs at the same time, which is, of course, not practical.

Thanks a lot for your answers.

Make a new Audio Track. In the I/O panel** for the Audio Track, select your Impulse channel in the Audio From dropdown, then the second dropdown will give you a list of the 8 slots in Impulse. Choose the sound you want to effect, then set the Audio track to Monitor IN. Drop your effects onto the Audio track and you're set.

** If the I/O Panel is not visible, turn it on by pressing the I/O button. It's on the far right, next to the Master Channel Strip's controls... the top button that says I-O on it.

you can also duplicate the impulse plugin in a rack and solo out the sound you want... (ie mute it in the all other impulses in the rack and solo it in it's own chain...)
