Exactly my problem with the Axiom. Plus, some users have said that they don't get the full range of velocity response out of them, no matter what curve's chosen. I've liked the Novations I've tried; a Remote SL61 might be in my future.

I've never noticed any clicks or steppiness with the Xboard besides the obvious 128 step resolution. It's the one E-Mu/Creative product I'll recommend, which is saying something considering my dislike for their products in general.

I really like my Axiom, apart from the flakey drum pads.
