You can not program the LC2 or assign controller numbers or key numbers,
Sorry but this makes me wonder why anyone would bother buying these things. Aside from Live i also use Liveslice and EnergyXT so i MUST have the option to assign CCs etc.

And as stated already...no USB connectivity sux royal blue balls.

Well plenty of people don't need any of that and absolutely love the faderfoxes. There's room for all types of people. :)

I love my LD2 (which has a programmable CC option) and LV1. An amazing combination for what I do with Live.

People buy them for the sheer portability, the flexibility of them, the amazing build quality and in Europe at least the low price.

Oh good! So optional CC assignment has been added. That's a start. Now if that could be implemented for all models (not that i would buy all models available but you never know, i could be a rich mofo).

I bought one last friday and I'm astonished about a) built quality and b) the whole concept. Please, someone, integrate the Fox into Live. Some options can be controlled via the userconfiguration.txt, but 8 faders is not enough.

My faderfox isn't even recognised by Live 6 let alone mappable.

Seems completely stupid that these have been ignored

In fairness to the Abes your faderfox speaks midi perfectly well. I'm loving my two faderfoxes.

Matthias non USB decision was absolutely right, do anyone need half dozen USB devices, isnt it more flexible chaining via midi.
In case like the blue balls whiner someone has no any midi USB simple 20 bucks USB midi cable, like the CME, does the job.
I would like to have editing option and Faderfoxes could be better but that does not change the fact that they are the best as far as build quality and intelligent design are concerned.

DO IT!!!!!!!

waiting desperately!
want to switch my whole midi equipement to "control surface mode" and I really really don't understand why the LX2 is not implemented??? it would seem like the absolute perfect midi controller for all the mutes/solos/recs/track prieview...

6.08!!!

did anybody make a custom control surface for the lx2 maybe??

dont see what anyones problem is - i use "micromodul LV2 V01 A6M6 Live50.als" shipped with the foxes or downloadable off thir site as a template - the lx2, ld2 an lc2 have already been mapped to most things in a total logical order,

lx2
blue2 1-6 = start
7-12 stop

green2 1-6 = mute
7-12= monitor

red2 = assignable to fx

ld2 is all mapped to whats written under the the knobs and by changing the ctrl set you'll only need to map the fx - how can faderfox/ableton do this for you when they dont know what your using - its very fast just to apple M or control M and then turn the knob/button on what you want to control...

lc2 is all setup too...

Except that for instance, if you add or delete a track, all your setup gets messed up.
Do you see where we're coming from?

I've got LV1, LV2, LX2, & DJ2.

More flexibility and ease of use from this support would be nice. I'm all for it.

but...

If they add support, how would it remember your settings when you move/delete a track?

I'm not sure how it works because I've never had any of the craptastic plastic chinese devices that utilize ableton support features.
