Is this the BBC series? The 1st series was much better.

You talking about "Rome", the 2 season show? First season ended with the idles of march?
I thought it ended months ago, is there a 3rd season?

heh, I just finished the first season last night - what an amazing series.
Blockbuster is getting the second season in about two weeks.

I loved the first season. Didn't see this past season because I don't have HBO but it comes out on DVD in August. Yes!

I thought the 2nd season was on par with the first. It was fun to watch Antony and Cleopatra.

I watched the first episode but thought it was utterly crap. The acting was beyond atrocious, it was embarassing. I may give it another chance though as it seems to get rave reviews from all over.

It took me 2 episodes to get into it. It didn't really draw me in from the begining and trying to figure out (remember) who the Hell is who. But yeah, I would give it another chance. I was emotinally exhausted by the last episode. I even gave it a standing ovation alone in my bedroom.

I agree with beats me, definitely give it another chance. I, too, was on the edge of my seat the last couple of episodes.
btw - coincidentally I just saw Munich last night (and all I kept thinking was hey, that's julius ceasar!)

i liked it. the acting was a bit shit (esp the guy who played mark antony's sidekick, i forget his name). but, meh, plenty of stuff is still enjoyable with shit acting. i never really got cleopatra though. isn't the whole point supposed to be that she's the most beautiful person in the world? she was just a bitchy little jawa. it was a laugh though.

A few weeks ago I was watching "Father Ted". And in one of the eps, they got this skinny irish guy... "Hey, thats Vorenus".
