hi guys, small question..
ive read that some people have had problems with this soundcard when using it on the macbooks pro...

im planning to buy it, i have win xp on one of the latest dell inspison 6400, anybody knows if ill be ok?...i suppose i will, i havent read of anyone who had trouble apart form mac users...but im just checkin...

please let me know!

Firewire cards are iffy with Dell computers because of the chipsets they use. I have a MOTU Ultralite with my Dell Inspiron, and I had some problems getting it to work for a few days. Eventually, I had to disable a bunch of different drivers for my computer to get it to work. Since this computer is only used for live use, it's ok that I don't need internet or anything else important, but if you use that computer for multiple things, you might have some problems. And it's not just MOTU, it's most firewire devices... I've had 2 Dells that had problems with multiple Firewire cards (Firebox, Ultralite, etc.)...

Good luck, you'll probably need it with a Dell

agh, im really sorry to hear this about the incompability of the ultralite with the inspiron...i have an inspiron 6400...any ideas how it works on this one?..

and yes, i use my laptop for internet and such apart from various music programs...

and what drivers did you have to uninstall or what exactly did you have to do in order to get it to work?

Just bought a brand new Macbook Pro and was gonna get an Ultralite. I haven't heard much about any problems. What's the deal?
