Cue button takes MIDI Controller two presses?!?
I'm trying to assign a button on my BCR2000 to the cue button in Live; for some reason it takes two hits instead of just one to activate cue and two hits instead of just one to de-activate. It's the only button in Live that I've encountered that is like this. How can I fix this so I don't have to hit a MIDI controller button twice to make it function??
Thanks
Thanks

Yes but then I won't have visual feedback on my BCR2000 on which channels have cue on for.nowtime wrote:try turning the toggle function off for your button settings on the BCR.
it should be EDIT/press the button/and then the third knob from the right on top, if my memdory serves.
This unusual behavior is only for cue - everything else functions normally. Anyone know what's going on?
some controls in Live only respond when they see 0 or only when they see 127. You're sending it 0 127 0 127 0 127... when you hit the button. Set the low and high values for the control to 0 or set them both to 127. I don't recall which works, it's been a while since I set my BCR up.

Thanks, Okay I assigned it's min/max to 127/127 and it does the trick.
However, the cue button isn't sending any MIDI feedback to my controller, so I can't see the true on/off state on my controller.
Weird.
Why would Live not have MIDI feedback for cue buttons? Don't Abe DJs need that?

Yes. Other controls track but cue doesn't.Tone Deft wrote:other controls track but cue doesn't?
is REMOTE set to IN and OUT in Live?
I'm not sure what the toggle setting does on the BCR (never had to try it), maybe that's interfering.
If you click on cue repeatedly, you can see in the top right MIDI I/O information section that no MIDI indicator flickers. Press the track on/off button right above cue and you will see that that does.
In fact, when I switch cue to solo mode and try that, it doesn't work on solo as well.
There must be something wrong with my setup, this can't be normal. Anyone know what's going on?

I am using CC values for those buttons. There is feedback from all controlls except the Cue switches....
I got as far as LetalRush:
