Focusrite Liquid Mix Choking Live 6 after updating LM

Post by RED-EYE » Thu Jul 26, 2007 6:48 am

Hello,
I've tried searching for this issue but no luck.

I've recently updated my Liquid Mix software to 2.0 and now it's chugging (CPU meter going off the charts) after using one instance. I am using Live 6.07. I didn't see this before I upgraded. Anyone else been able to remedy this or seen it?
Thanks,

Liquid MIx chugging

Post by GUY SMILEY » Sat Aug 18, 2007 6:10 pm

Hi,
I did have problems with Live 6 taking about 10 minutes to load, then being un-workably slow. The CPU meter didn't even light up - i.e. totally blank - v.odd
This happened twice :
when I had the sample rates wrong in my audio interface compared to live
when I had the emulations installed incorrectly (they were still nestled in a folder within the liquid mix folder, they need to be in the top level 'liquid mix' folder)
Wit the first instance I closed down the computer, rebooted live without any audio interface (or liquid mix) connected. Then turned on and off the audio interface, connected it, and then connected the liquid mix. This sorted it.

Hope you get it sorted, once its up and running its really pretty amazing, especially if you love pissing about endlessly with compressors ( as I apparantly do !)

Liquid Mix and Live 6.0.7

Post by carsten » Fri Sep 14, 2007 5:26 pm

Hi,
I have a similar problem when using Focusrite Liqiuid Mix with Ableton Live 6.0.7 that even one instance simply hogs 70-80% of the cpu on my Mac Powerbook. It works perfectly with Logic Pro 7. Have also Googled with very little concrete results. Next step contacting both Focusrite and Ableton to make them sort it out between themselves I guess.... Shame as both products are the best.

Cheers,

Carsten
