Best Free VST Plugins for Mac

I'm sure there have been threads similar to this in the past but I'd like to start one anew.

I'm getting a little board with my sounds right now and I'm wondering what people are liking these days in the realm of free VST synth plugins that will work for mac. Thanks.

Best free bass synth? I like the 4Front Bass module but it's VST only, no AU version?

If your *not* on Intel yet, then you can rock the Digitalfishphones suite, but it will not be released as UB.

The fish fillets group is absolutely fantastic, especially Blockfish, the compressor. Amazing. You will become addicted and put off upgrading your Mac because of it.
