Post by capo-wear-i » Fri Jul 27, 2007 7:45 am

I've just typed in "Ableton" at the Summer Namm 2007 exhibitors page.

No results

they don't need a booth to make an announcement, do they?
gerhard can just grab a chair and stand on top of it in the middle of the fair with a megaphone in hand and say "Live 7, Live 7, Live 7".
that would be a good announcement imo.

as I understand it, summer NAMM is mostly a guitar show so I wouldn't expect any computer music tech announcements being made there.

Extra! Extra!

Ableton CEO got assaulted by Bob Geldof at Summer NAMM 2007

The exact details of the incident are still a little unclear. But as Geldof was being escorted outside by security guards, he was heard to be shouting: "Live 8? Live 8? I am Live 8!".

Gerhard Behles, CEO of Ableton responded: "I'm not sure what came over the man. We were having a friendly discussion about the future of music and software. As I was going over our roadmap and wanted to get to detailing our eventual goals, Bob went into a frenzy and nearly bashed my head in with his chair.
The security guards were able to disarm him and took him away from the scene. Apart from a few scratches and bruises, I am fine. Still a little shaken up though.
"

The authorities are still on the lookout for Midge Ure.

Get them up against the wall.

And that one's not quantised
and there's the orange dot!!
If I had my way, I'd have all of them shot!!"

It could use MIDI sequencing capabilities and proper destructive audio editing.

Plenty of room for improvement...
