laptop / keyboard stand for performance
I've got a little Axiom 25 and a laptop that I'll be performing with... So what should I do for a stand? Obviously it has to be fairly light and portable.
At this stage I'm looking at a 2 tier keyboard stand with some plywood attached somehow to make it into two platforms... Maybe some kind of rubber or velcro situation as well to help keep the equipment in place when things get a bit crazy. (I could set this up for under $100 AU)
Any other suggestions?
I've seen the Stanton Uberstand in pictures but I can't even figure out what goes where (plus it's too expensive)
I heard when NIN last toured, Trent Reznor had some kind of crazy stand setup that allowed him to throw his shit all over the place... I'm sure it would be too expensive to set up but out of interest I'd love to have a look if anyone knows where I can see a photo or vid...
Cheers
Neil

You're probably referring to Charlie Clouser's stand he designed on a CAD. You can see some of it here...

Um, you probably don't need something like that for an axiom 25 and a laptop.

Thanks! I'll have a look when I get home (it's blocked at work)...
As I said, I only wanna have a look out of interest. Just 'cos when I asked a dude in a music shop about something for me, he brought up the stand that Reznor had.

Thanks for that robbmasters... I like this one --> http://www.thomann.de/gb/km_12150.htm - but the Axiom doesn't fit on the mouse pad tray and I don't want to buy a seperate stand for it...robbmasters wrote:Couple of things that might be worth a look...

http://www.thomann.de/gb/km_18950.htm might be a bit more stable then an X stand but it's quite a bit more expensive so I probably wouldn't go down that route either.
Let me know if you find anything else!
I don't get it...Patch wrote:I want a pair of glasses that act like a monitor. That would be sweet. Using that and a keytar/custom midi controller built into a guitar would mean you could rock out like a good 'un - running about on stage and kicking speakers over.
Rock n' Roll!
