using waves plugins in Live6

Hi, this may be a silly question but can you definitely use Waves plugins with Live6? I'm thinking of buying the Native Powerpack. A friend runs Waves Native on ProTools LE but told me he wasn't subsequently able to open the Waves plugins in Live6 - perhaps this is something to do with the ilok authorisation?

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions about this or indeed other gating/limiting/compression plugins for use with Live6 and ProTools, they would be appreciated - I need a couple of high quality plugins for mastering my tracks in Live once they are finished (the type of music is minimal techno, electro and tech house). I have also looked at the Sony Oxford plugins.

I have no problems running waves vsts in live, though I have heard of some people who have.....

...Although live isn't officially supported...
I have had no problem running them in live...
... except when used within 'racks'...

I have no issues running them - however I cannot access presets for them
