macbook pro with built-in MIDI??? Sounds like bullshit to me. I've never seen one and it isn't in the specs also.
A midi-in (like on the atari) also is not enough, you need midi out as well (certainly if you use a ctrller with motorized faders or rotary encoders (like the b-controls from behringer)). Otherwise your knobs won't get any feedback from live...
So I think any laptop user needs a seperate usb/midi interface or a controller with USB-interface...

I'm all set on getting a Macbook Pro in a few months, mainly with the inention of using it to play out live with eventually.
Are the main differences between the mb and mbp just size and memory?
