LIVE solid as a rock

Post by Mark Henning » Tue Sep 03, 2002 1:22 pm

Hi Ableton - just wanted to let you know - played my first gig with Live - at a free party in the south of england on the weekend....tag team techno with my brother -> decks & Live together......Live performed brilliantly for over an hour - no glitches, nothing.....PC Laptop with Hammerfall DSP Multiface (expensive though worth it).....keep up the good work 8) 8)

P.S. you need to sort out those midi/terrorist/blah blah blah users..... they're ruining the forum. The forum's for Live issues - not bullshit. :?

Yes stability is GREAT, please keep it as the No 1. priority.

I did a gig at club with friends in my face, but for the first time in my life i not once worried about a crash, or some sort of glitch. that was a new experience to me.

Thanks ableton.

IMHO I will take stability, reliablity over features any day.

I will take less posts over lots of garbage any day.

thankyou Ableton.

hey, i dont understand something...
why do you guys ALWAYS say stuff like:

"i didnt experience glitches and crashes..."

YOU WONT!, i've been using live EVERY GIG, and its
ALWAYS SOLID! Never had a crash

unless your computer sucks or something

hi there dimension.

we say those things because often we were using tools like cubase or logic to perform, and those tools wernt designed to perform so crashing those was very possible. and from my experience cubase is buggy.

live is great.

Also, I think those of us using Macs see a little less stability with Live. I know I've experienced glitches, lockups, and stuttering on a G4 with 1.25 GIG of RAM and 2 fast 60 GB drives...

I hope Ableton will focus at least some of their considerable talents on getting the Mac version up to speed.

absolutely agree about Logic/Cubase on stage, had many problems in past and it's very nice to see a stable product! (finally!) :P
