operator - can't access sounds in demo

Post by Via Negitiva » Fri Aug 03, 2007 6:37 pm

Hello; new here, I just bought Ableton last weekend and am loving it.
I was curious about the operator sounds before I buy them and wanted to check them out in demo mode but when I switch to demo mode the operator file in the browser is empty. Is there something more I need to do (similar to the EIC packs?) to access these sounds?

Thanks for the response; I tried that but I already have it installed having bought a box version.

Any other suggestions?

Hmm... did you happen to move the library files or something? Try installing the pack anyways. when you double-click to install it, it will give you a message saying "you already installed it" etc. Give it a shot.

If you are on Windows, go to My Documents, ableton, presets, instruments, operator and see if there are any files in any of those folders. (e.g. in folder "Brass" there should be a file, or instrument file, named "analog Pad Brass 1" among others).

I agree,

there is no content to speak of in the boxed version, (excepting the EIC)

so to say that you've already got the presets because you have the box is confusing...

Thanks for the reply; I had to uninstall then reinstall from the website...must have been a glitch. I did move the files around a bit initially so maybe that was it.

Glad to hear it's all good now. Enjoy. I'm thinking of buying Operator myself. :D
