Wondering about loops

Hi.

I think Acid Loops are just .wav format. Ableton can use .wav format loops.

Not sure where to buy loops. I gues sit depends on what styles and what type of loops you are looking for (drums, instrument hits, etc)
Some others on this forum may have suggestions.

I don't think ableton has it's own format perse. I've been able to use .wav format loops and even mp3's

You can use mp3s but Ableton converts all audio to .wav when you drag it into the porgram.

You can use Acid loops (or Apple loops), but Live will treat them as any other wav/aiff file, ie the tempo information won't be retained. This means that you might have to warp them to your tempo in Live, but that isn't that a big deal.

Go to Sound on Sound website and read past reviews of sample CD's, which are usually filled with loops & one-shot sounds, and find some that fit your style.

Better yet, buy some old rekkids and grab some loops off those
(you can even use CD's)

Download the free loops some guys is giving away in another thread.

Here`s the deal.
I`ve used acid and reason for a while, sonar too, but ableton seems more up my alley. But I like to get songs started using beats. Where is a good place to get samples to use in my songs? I`ve often had a problem getting samples that fit into my style as well, mellow accoustic rock, any suggestions? Thanks!!!
